ALTERIMAGE is a series of collected essays on cult and popular cinema.

The books in this series are intended for undergraduates, academic film researchers and cinema buffs interested in debates in global cult and popular cinema. Each volume of AlterImage focuses on specific themes, filmmakers or theoretical discourses, with articles being drawn from leading theorists and critics in the field.

Each volume consists of up to fifteen main articles and also contains exclusive interviews with filmmakers and festival directors as well as shorter pieces that deal with issues such as film exhibition and distribution.
