The 24 FRAMES series is a major new publishing
project consisting of 18 volumes providing comprehensive overviews of
national and regional cinemas from all over the world. Each volume focuses
on 24 key feature films or documentaries that serve as entry-points to
the appreciation and study of the history, industry, social and political
significance, and key directors and stars of every national cinema around
the world. These collections are each edited by renowned experts in their
respective areas and offer a unique, text-centred insight into the history
of global cinema.
Forthcoming in the 24 Frames series in
2007 is a new volume on the cinema of Australia & New Zealand, Russia & the Former Soviet Union, and North Africa & the Middle East; many more volumes are planned for 2008 and beyond, including titles on Germany, India, China & South-East Asia, and Southern Africa.
